I’m Bringing Sexy Back September 28, 2007

Filed under: Fitness Journal, Just Another Day — Jesse @ 9:46 pm

Hello to all of my bloggy friends and the ones who accidentally come across my blog.  I have just recently made a big change in my life-hence the title.  Yesterday I went and bought myself a few sessions with personal trainer-yes a real personal trainer.  I’m not sure what was the last straw that drove me to do this because I’ve had a gym membership and I haven’t used it in I don’t know forever.  Well ok I have an idea–our five year anniversary is in November, and my 29th birthday is in January–so I’m guessing this is some kind of mid-life crisis.  That and the fact that I’m tired of feeling fat and I’m really ready to do something about it.

Anyways today was my first session and holy freaking crap am I out of shape but damn did I feel good afterwards.  Everything today was all a cardio workout but without spending 30 min on a bike or treadmill.  The only weight I used was a 6lb medicine ball.  So not only was I getting my heart rate up and sweating like mad but I was working out my whole body.  Oh I forgot to tell you the goal we set: 10 weeks, 20 lbs, with me doing cardio 3-4 days a week and weight training 2-3 times.  Now I’m not meeting her that many because well I can’t afford all that but the next few times I meet her she’ll show what to do and how to change it up and then I can always look at the paper if I forget.  Oh and yes I have to change the way I eat, but I refuse to cut out soda-I have to take baby steps.  So today we went grocery shopping and man eating healthy sure is expensive but hey I want to be down to 142 (yes I did gain back a couple of pounds).

Don’t worry I plan to make a point of being on here more because there is so much I want to say or vent and I miss y’all a lot; plus I plan on y’all asking me if I’m working out and getting on to me if I don’t.  Ok gotta go but I’ll be back tomorrow to tell y’all how Sweet Pea’s first soccer game went-another thing I didn’t tell y’all.  I will another day or else I’ll seem like I’m rambling.  :)

The Test From Hell September 22, 2007

Filed under: Just Another Day — Jesse @ 5:18 pm

Ok well I just finished my history test that was on a 300 pg textbook and lectures….drumroll please…..I got an 82!!!  Can you freaking believe it I got an 82 and let me tell you how happy I am to have that done and over with.

On a side note I just want to say that I really miss you guys and I’m trying my hardest to comment on your blogs.  Hopefully w/this test out of the way I can at least blog a couple of times a week.  :)

Yeah it’s Friday! September 14, 2007

I feel like I’ve been away forever but at least I still manage to visit y’all-maybe not everyday but I try to make it to everyone.  So I’ll fill y’all in on how my week has gone.  First off I got my new glasses on Saturday and ended up having to take them back.  I couldn’t see anything clear and it was hurting my eyes.  What was crap was that the place was like it will take your eyes a week to adjust.  Well I didn’t wait a week and when I took them it turns out that my right lens was off by 5 degrees.  So as of now they are ok but it’s still not crystal clear but I can at least give these a chance.

Now onto to school-it’s been going pretty well and I wish I could say I’ve made all A’s but no.  Oh but I am passing so that’s a good thing.  However, there is one problem and that would be my History class-it’s the only class that mails my tests but there have been some problems and they have yet to mail me my test.  Now part of me is glad but the other part of me just wants the test to get it out of the way.

And now for the best part of my week-tomorrow my mom, sister, and nephew.  Yeah I’m so excited and I can’t wait to see them, and have all the kids spend time together.  Hopefully all of y’all have had a great week, and Tracy thank you so much for sending me an email it made my week and sorry I haven’t wrote you back. :)

It’s Britney September 10, 2007

Filed under: In the News, Totally Random — Jesse @ 7:56 am

Well I’m not one to watch the VMA but I did last night because I wanted to see Britney Spears.  For the past couple of weeks there has been talk about her making a comeback, songs leaked, and of course her being seen around Vegas with Criss Angel.  Which by the way I thought he was supposed to be helping her with this and umm I didn’t see any magic tricks.  Anyway first let me say that after the way the tabloids have been hounding her for oh I don’t know forever I thought it pretty gutsy of her to go out on stage knowing what has been said.  And to be honest I was really hoping for this awesome performance but sadly her performance didn’t rock.  To me she looked really nervous (don’t blame her), and kind of like she was just going thru the motions, she also seemed to forget the words to her song.  I felt bad when they panned the audience because they had this look like I can’t believe she’s actually up there.  No it wasn’t great but I think she was almost regretting being there.  Oh but what really irked me is how I’ve read that she looked a little flabby-WHAT!  First off she looks a whole lot better than I do, and second she’s not fat.  Sure she wasn’t showing off a six-pack but damn give the girl a break she looked normal and no she didn’t have a huge gross belly hanging out.  *Sorry for that rant it just really bugged me.  All in all I really think her purpose for a comeback is to get people to back off of her and quit talking about her every little mistakes.  But I think the only way they will leave her alone is if she just goes off into seclusion and just focus on her and her kids, put her life back together and try not to let it all get to her.  Anyway if you watched it what do you think and if not go to mtv.com and they have all the performances posted on there.  Hope y’all have a great Monday.

A new kids show September 5, 2007

Filed under: Just Another Day — Jesse @ 4:43 pm

I’m not really sure how many of you let your kids watch Noggin but if you do then I’m sure you’ve seen their new show.  It’s called Yo Gabba Gabba-yes that is really the name, and I’m not a big fan but Sweet Pea sure is.  The main guy looks like a grown up version of Steve Erkel, and I couldn’t believe that Elijah Wood was on it today, oh and Tony Hawk has been on there too.  Seriously they can’t be that desperate for some cash.  Anyway here’s a clip of the opening and let me know what you think about it.  And tell me which do you find more annoying: Yo Gabba Gabba or The Doodlebops.

How are my peeps. September 4, 2007

Hello everyone-have you missed me because I have really missed y’all.  Ok so on to some really good news I weighed myself this morning and I weighed 160.7 :)   Can you believe it, I know I can’t because I since school has started back up I haven’t been exercising but I have been watching what I eat.  Incase you’re wondering last month I was 166 and a few weeks ago I was 163 so now I’ve lost a total of 6 lbs.  WoooHooo-go me.  Can you tell I’m happy.

Now on to my weekend David and I didn’t really do a whole lot but the one thing we did do was go and see the new Halloween movie.  First off I’m not a big fan of Rob Zombie but I have to say that out of all three of his movies I liked this one the best.  It wasn’t as good as the original but it wasn’t to bad.  However, my biggest complaint was seeing parents bringing their little kids to this movie.  And wouldn’t you know there was a couple sitting next to us with their 5 month old baby and their 3 year old son-that’s right their three yr. old son but that’s not all there were other kids around 6 or 7.  I honestly don’t know what was going thru these parents minds other than the fact that they didn’t have a babysitter but I’m sorry this is not the kind of movie appropriate for kids.  There was bad language throughout the movie but the beginning of it was really bad, very bloody and gory (go figure), and lets not forget boobs and the p&*n mag they showed.  So no I don’t think this movie was at all appropriate for young kids.

Ok off my soapbox, as for today Sweet Pea has ballet today and it’s the first day at a new dance school so hopefully all will go well.  And then afterwards I’m going to pick me out some new glasses.  Not sure what I want but I want something with a little flair-personality.  Alright well y’all have a great day and hopefully I’ll talk to y’all tomorrow.
