For the Love of Peas and Monkeys

Happy Halloween October 30, 2007

I don’t know about any of you but I can’t wait to take the kiddos trick-or-treating, well I just can’t wait to get them in their costumes and take ton of pictures.  Since David has to work late tomorrow night I’m going to spend the day with my sister and nephew.  We have plans to go take the kids to some friends of my moms, and then since my mom’s birthday was Friday we’re all going out to eat afterwards to celebrate.  I’m really excited and can’t wait, also since I’ll be gone all day tomorrow I kicked it into high gear today and did like 3 tests, 1 lecture, and 3 assignments.  I know crazy but listen I usually do 1 test a day and the rest is spent on daily work.  Oooo I also did 3 loads of laundry, vacuumed, took Sweet Pea to ballet but in the end I decided to get pizza because well I just didn’t feel like cooking.  Before I forget for Halloween Sweet Pea is going to be a cheerleader and Monkey is going to be a dragon.  And let me just say I’m glad it’s going to be in the 50’s because if it wasn’t Monkey would be sweatin like mad tomorrow night.  As for Sweet Pea I bought a turtle neck and I will bring a jacket for her if she get to cold.  Ok everyone have fun, be safe, and try not eat to much candy.

Ok well when I did the ONE WORD meme I guess I forgot that it meant I could only type one word.  Thank you Tracy and Catwoman for pointing it out because no one else did.  Hello can we say dork-oh well I guess we all have our moments.

Update:  If any of you remeber I had a problem with my history test.  Well I talked to the teacher Friday and said he would check it out and let me know today.  And he went through my test and I ended up getting an 83!  I’m so happy because I didn’t want a 65 on a test.  So thank you for caring and hopefully tomorrow when I blog I won’t have such a brain fart.

Miscommunication? October 26, 2007

Yesterday I finished up my study guide for History test and decided that I knew it pretty well and to go ahead and take the test.  Everything was going pretty well or ok, at least I thought it was when questions about the Civil War started popping up.  Now sitting there I was pretty sure we hadn’t gone over it but there was nothing I could do since it’s all online and once you start you can’t close it.  Well wouldn’t you know I got a 65.56, and was pretty pissed because I didn’t think I did that badly.  So David comes home and I tell him because he can see that I’m still in a bad mood about it and says “well why don’t you tell your teacher you did everything and there wasn’t anything about the Civil War?”  Now to be honest after taking that test I was so aggravated that I didn’t feel like looking back at the notes; plus it was dinnertime.

Anyways at midnight I couldn’t sleep and decided to go and look back on the website to see if I missed something.  And sure enough I looked over unit 2 and no war-but wait there it is in unit 3.  So after I saw this I decided to email my teacher and nicely ask about this because from what I understand we have three units and three exams so wouldn’t it make sense that ALL of unit 2 would cover exam 2 and that ALL of unit 3 would be exam 3?  I guess we shall see what the teacher says and when he does I’ll be sure to let y’all know-thanks for listening.

What was going through her head? October 25, 2007

Filed under: Totally Random — Jesse @ 9:13 am

So I’m talking to my mil this morning and she told me that there has been a few cases of staph infections going around.  I’m thinking great that’s just what I need to happen now.  And apparently one of the children workers from church has it and isn’t sure how she got it-no she’s not working with the kids right now.

Anyway there was church last night and as this mother was trying to drop her daughter off one of the worker asks what was wrong with her because her face looked really swollen (child’s face).  This little girl is a regular so the worker could easily tell if something wasn’t right.  Ok so as she’s asking the mom is trying to play it off and basically not answer her question all while trying to get her thru the door.  Well thankfully the worker is being persistent in asking and the mom finally tells her what’s wrong with her daughter.  Are you ready for this (I’m sure you guessed it) her daughter has a staph infection!

Now someone please tell me why would persist on dropping your child off and infecting other children.  I mean there are rules like they can’t have a fever, vomiting, and diarrhea.  So what you don’t feel like sitting thru service with your sick child and decide to let your child infect others.  Personally I don’t think they should have even come to church because really none of us wants to get sick.  I mean am I wrong here?

Need A Little Boost October 24, 2007

Ok so I told myself that this was the week I was going to get serious about working out and so far so good.

Mon-Bodypump

Tues-15 min. jog (it was all I could fit in but hey I was sweating)

Then wouldn’t you know I pigged out on Mexican food-ugh.  As for today I don’t feel motivated to do anything.  I went to bed around 10 p.m. and that’s early for me woke up before the kids at 7:45 a.m. and for some reason I just feel lazy today.  I was doing some lectures online but don’t feel like it which is why I’m blogging but I’ve seriously got to workout at some point today.  I guess after nap time when I take the kids outside I’ll just exercise instead of reading a textbook.

The Kids Are Done October 23, 2007

Filed under: Totally Random — Jesse @ 9:37 am

Call me crazy but David and I finished Christmas shopping for the kids.  Now I don’t have any wrapping paper or anything and we still have everybody else including each other but at least the kids are done.  And this year David and I didn’t buy them any clothes just toys so I guess I’ll be asking my mom and his parents to get the kids some clothes.

Oh now on to another bit of good news but we paid off our car-YEAH!

Loving This Weather October 19, 2007

Filed under: Just Another Day — Jesse @ 7:21 am

I can’t believe it’s 52 degrees outside and down here in the South that’s a big thing.  I’m so loving it but I just wish that it would stay like this all day-it’ll get up to the 80’s.  Anyway I woke up this morning stepped outside and just enjoyed the wonderful cool weather.  As you can see I like fall but I really love winter.  I’m all into wearing cute sweaters, pants, jackets-I don’t know I guess I’m weird.  But maybe what I love most about these two seasons are the holidays.  I mean Halloween is right around the corner and I loved dressing up as a kid and I have a lot of fun seeing my little ones dressed up.  And then there’s Thanksgiving and all of that delicious food.  Oooo and then my most fav-CHRISTMAS.  What is there to not like about Christmas, and btw have any of started shopping because it’ll be here before you know it.  Alright I’m out but for those of you who live up north with this awesome weather all day-I’m jealous.

Lack of Luck With Cars October 18, 2007

Filed under: Just Another Day — Jesse @ 7:29 am

This month we will have our car paid off and I’m so happy since it’ll be right before the holidays.  However, I feel like we have this dark cloud over us when it comes to this car.  It seems when we get one flat within a couple of months we’ll have another, oh and last income tax we has to spend a nice amount for the transmission.  Anyway in Sept. we got a new tire and then last week when David was sick we got a nail stuck in it and had to take it to get it patched.  Then a few days ago our car’s temp was running hot and after water it would help for a little bit.  Come to find out we had a leak in the heater pipe (that’s what his dad called it).  So you can imagine our frustration because yet again another problem.  Luckily for us David and his dad happened to be off on the same day and his dad was able to take out the pipe and go to a radiator shop to have it sauter.  And guess what that’s all it needed and it’s now running fine again-as for the cost $10.00 and about a couple of hours to get the part out take it to a shop and put it back in the car.  Thank god his dad knows stuff about cars and man am I glad it didn’t cost us a lot.
