The Boots November 30, 2007

 Sorry it’s taken me a couple of days but you will be happy to know I have posted a picture of the boots I asked for Christmas.  I wanted boots that didn’t scream cowgirl, no offense but it’s not my style.  Anyway during my search for boots I came across these-Palladium Hasselt.  Have any of you ever heard of this brand? 

So what do y’all think-and if it’s not your style my feelings won’t be hurt-I promise.  Ok so I saw these and it totally brought me back to my days in high school when I wore Dr. Martens, now I know I couldn’t have been the only one who wore those.  Anyway I loved them and I think that’s what pushed me to buy these.  Now on to the details; the leather is super soft and nice shade of dark brown which will go with just about anything.  As for the fit well in order to get the full effect I had to try them one with an outfit to get the full effect, and they fit comfortably.  The sole has some rubber grips which for me is great because I’m not always very graceful; anyway it feels a little weird but after one day of wearing them it won’t bother me anymore.  So once I had my whole outfit on I modeled for David and asked him if he really liked them and he did and then bursted my bubble by telling me I had to them back in the box but since it is my Christmas present.

*Here is my comment about the whole UPS situation.  As much as I wanted to really give them a piece of my mind I chose not to because when they called me back it was our local UPS.  So here’s my thinking if I act like a total bitch the rest of the things I’ve ordered will some mysteriously get lost and that’s something I didn’t want to happen since I know David ordered some clothes for me.  But believe me I wanted to say what kind of freaking idiot leaves someone stuff sitting on the side of the road.  However I found some restrain-go figure.*

What was he thinking? November 28, 2007

I know that I’ve told y’all that I want boots for Christmas, now what I didn’t say is that I’m the one who ordered them from shoebuy.com.  I thought since I haven’t worn boots I should go ahead and order them, try them one and then see if they fit right so I can return them before Christmas.  Now this is the first time I’ve known what I’m getting without snooping-yes it kind of stinks but it would stink more if I got them and couldn’t wear them right then.  Alright so for the past few days I’ve been checking the status on my package and I was excited to see that it was out for delivery yesterday morning.  Ok so all day goes by and still no package.  I go and pick up David and we decide to go check next door to see if they left it there because a few weeks ago they delivered my fil medicine there.  Well no luck it wasn’t there.  However, this morning my mil tells me that I have a package sitting on the table for me-yesss I’m excited.  But my happiness was soon gone when they told me they were checking the mail last night and there was my box sitting on the side of the road next to the mailboxes.  Now just to clarify we live in the country so it’s not like the mailbox is in front of our house.  Anyway the freaking UPS guy decided he was just to tired or lazy to drive a few more feet and leave the box on our porch.  I mean can you believe he just left it there on the side of the road!  And in case you’re wondering it wasn’t a little box it was pretty big.  I mean anyone could have driven buy and thought hmmm I think I’ll just pick that up and there went my boots.  Well I called UPS  and told them what happened and I was really nice about it and sometime today someone else from customer service will call me today.  I know these people are busy and some have to work really late but lets use some common sense and not leave things on the side of the road.

Must hit gym. November 27, 2007

I don’t know about any of you but I know I had to have gained at least 10 lbs over the Thanksgiving holiday.  Sooo starting Monday I started working out again.  I’ve been really bad and haven’t worked out in oh I don’t know forever.  I hit the gym yesterday and today and I will again Thursday.  Because let’s be real I don’t have any reason to not go to the gym-school is done and I’ve decorated so all I have left is daily housework and taking care of the kids-plenty of time to hit the gym.  You would think I would be motivated to loose some weight; I want to I just can’t commit myself to go at least 3 times a week.  Anyway I’m hoping during this break that I’ll be able to put myself back into the routine of going to the gym.

Good Morning November 26, 2007

Today is Monday and I can’t complain, the temp. is 34 and I’m loving this kind of weather.  Last night I wrapped presents, and I have been going through pictures writing dates so I can finally put them in a photo album.  Let me tell you finally being done with school this semester is such an awesome feeling because now I can enjoy the holidays without having to worry about due dates.

On to a little randomness-have any of you ever watched Dexter on Showtime?  David and I rented season 1 and just finished it last night and we love it.  It’s a little weird but interesting and sometimes funny.  Between Dexter and Brotherhood it makes me wish we did have Showtime but you know how those channels can be; they’ll show the same movie like 50 times.

Anyways have any of you come up with your Christmas list?  As for me I finally finished it and I’m pretty happy with it: Brown Boots, Clothes, and a PSP.  I can’t believe I want a PSP but sometimes I need down time and with being in school and having to read I don’t enjoy reading books as much-does that make sense.  Plus sometimes I enjoy playing games.  Oh and I also asked for a gift card to Michael’s (craft store) because they have a huge selection of Vanna White yarn that I love.  Which speaking of yarn I just finished a really pretty lap blanket-I’ll have to post a picture soon.  Well I love to crochet and currently I’m working on another lap blanket for my Grandmother for Christmas. 

Ok well that’s enough of me rambling about anything that pops in my head but I would love to hear what y’all want for Christmas or just about anything.  Oh and plan on seeing more often because now I have the time to blog and comment on others-have a great day.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving November 23, 2007

Hopefully everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  I have eaten so much the past 2 days that I swear I’ve gained 50 lbs-ok maybe not but it sure feels like it.  Oh on a high note as of Wed. night I am officially done with school this semester-thank goodness.  Taking 15 hrs. was really hard for me this semester and I’m sure I got at least 1 “C” but that’s better than failing any of my classes.  I really busted my butt these last couple of weeks to get done before Thanksgiving and now that I am I feel that I can totally and completely enjoy the rest of the holidays.

Now on to some craziness, as I’m sure many of you know today is BLACK FRIDAY but I really think it should be called crazy, don’t have any manners because I want to save a few buck Friday.  Anyway David and I decided to go to Target because they were having a really good sale on DVD’s and on the PSP (5 free movies w/purchase).  Well we get up at 5 a.m. because they open at 6 a.m., and people when I got there at 5:30 there was a line pretty darn close the back, I repeat back of the freakin store.  David and I stood there for a few minutes and he said this isn’t worth it and believe me it wasn’t.  So instead we went to IHOP and then I headed to Walmart to get just a few things; and of course I there was one Chicken Dance Elmo for $10 and I got it.  Now does my Monkey need this-no-will I be returning this item-probably.  I tend to have a problem w/impulse buying.  Alright well I’m off to catch up on some blogs.

Is The Semester Over Yet? November 8, 2007

All I have to say is that it’s been mad crazy over here, and it’s just now kind of getting back to normal.  Halloween was great the kids had so much fun trick-0r-treating, and they all looked so cute.  But since then I’ve been busy trying to finish all of my school work before Thanksgiving; I have until the Nov. 28 but really why wait until then.  I’m pretty close to being done, as of today I finished my research paper and now I only have one more paper and 2 quizzes, and 3 tests left.  It sounds like a lot but really I should be ok.  As for the home front well I can write my name on just about every piece of furniture and until today the laundry was trying to attack me (still have a lot left but it’s better).  Oh and I haven’t worked out in almost 2 weeks-I know bad but at least I haven’t gained anything, right? 

Ooo but here’s something new this week I had to do my field observation which is where I sit in a classroom and watch what the teacher does.  So the first day I sat in a Kindergarten class and it was interesting.  If you’re wondering why I picked that it’s because Sweet Pea will start Kindergarten and I was curious about what they did.  The teacher had a lot of patience and there were some kids who acted just like Sweet Pea and some that were a little worse, not terrible just a little more hyper.  Anyway surprisingly I enjoyed it a lot and the kids were really sweet.  Then all day Wed I did grades 5-8 and that was kind of what I expected.  At times I couldn’t help but laugh because I was sitting there thinking omg I used to act just like that-crazy.  And of course you have the little know-it-all kids who can get on your nerves but overall a really good experience. 

Ok I won’t make any promises but I’m really going to try and be on here more and catching up with all of you.  I really need some motivation to hurry up and get done with this semester because I need a break.
