On Sunday morning our Pastor played a very interesting video, of course that was when I had to get up so I missed it.  However David said it was really good and found it on youtube.  Anyway I thought I would post it and see what y’all thought about it.

Good Morning Everyone March 24, 2008

I hope all of you had a happy Easter.  As for us the day started out great but by the afternoon Sweet Pea started to run a fever; turns out she caught Monkey’s cold.  We had a big lunch with the family and then we went out and hid the eggs.  I really enjoy watching them hunt for eggs and the excitement of seeing what kind of candy was hidden inside.  They looked so cute all dressed up yesterday that I’m going to have to post a couple of pics.

As for a family picture well we didn’t get around to it but I need to and soon.  I’ll be making my rounds today to check out how everyone else is doing.

My 1yr. Bloggiversary March 20, 2008

Filed under: Just Another Day — Jesse @ 8:16 am

Not only is today the official first day of Spring, but it’s also my 1yr. anniversary here on my little blog.  I can’t believe it’s already been 1yr.  When I first started this I wasn’t really sure what to write about and sometimes I still feel like that.  I also didn’t expect to meet some really amazing women, and I’m glad I did.  It’s so comforting knowing that there are other moms out there who are going thru the same things that I am.  You know your two yr. old son putting everything in his mouth, or thinking that he should become the next daredevil.  And let’s not forget that as sweet as little girls can be deep down they can be diva’s.  I just know that if I didn’t have a blog to escape to I would go crazy because I need adult conversation even if it is only on here.

Also today my little Monkey is FINALLY feeling better.  Monday we decided to go to the beach to play in the sand and he started to not feel well but he was having a good time.  Anyway it started getting cool so we packed up and started heading home.  Alright so half-way home I hear this sound, I look back and poor Monkey had threw up all over himself.  This is the first time either one of my kids has thrown up in the car-honest.  And I felt so bad for him and luckily I had a spare outfit.  Oh and I don’t remember who posted this a long time ago (maybe Tracy or MGM), but cleaning puke out of a car seat is dis-gus-ting.  Other than that we’ve been doing really well and I think all is back to some type of normal.

**Hopefully it’s as a beautiful there as it is here.  Enjoy the day!**

Horton Hears A Who March 15, 2008

Filed under: Movies — Jesse @ 7:10 am

Last night we went to go see the new Dr. Seuss movie and I thought it was great.  Sweet Pea loved it and of course now she wants the book and can’t wait for the movie to come out so we can buy it.  Monkey was surprisingly good during the first half and then the second half he kept going from me to Mimi, and then to Grumps.  And of course during the last 20 min he decided to chill out and watch.  I can’t believe I actually went because that meant taking Monkey and the last time I took him he was terrible, but David was working late last night and I really wanted to go, and I’m glad I did.  Ooo before I forget I have to tell you the previews I saw: Nim’s Island-I’ll pass; Kung Fu Panda-It’s going to be hilarious; Wall E-Can’t wait to see this latest Pixar movie; and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaur; I really like the first two and I think this one will be good, oh and it said that it will be coming out in 3-D too.

Oh and before I forget no one has left me any rude comments about me getting a ticket but you know how some people can be so that’s why I said don’t leave one.  Thanks for leaving me your stories and comments.

I See You March 12, 2008

Filed under: Totally Random — Jesse @ 10:49 pm

I received some interesting mail today.  I don’t know about where you live but a few months ago at major intersections they installed cameras to enforce red light safety.  And can you guess who violated this safety rule–yes that’s right me.  It seems that last Tuesday I was caught on camera going through a red light.  Now please before any of you out there jump down my throat this is not a normal thing I do and to be honest I don’t recall doing that.  What I do recall is trying to shop for Easter outfits and Monkey not being very cooperative; I know that no excuse.  Just to make sure that it was me I had to go back to the calendar and sure enough I was the one who had the car that day, crap now I have to tell David.  Well surprisingly enough he wasn’t mad but did tell me to be more careful.  Oh and to make it worse you can go on the website and watch the video and you know what I never slowed down!  I still can’t believe it and yes I’m mad at myself.  I know what was going thru my mind “must hurry home before I lose my mind” because from what I do remember is Monkey throwing a fit and Sweet Pea yelling at him to be quiet.  Oh and the price of this ticket is $75.

Before I go for any of you that are reading this and plan on leaving me some type of rude comment-don’t.  I’m not a reckless person nor am I perfect and it just so happens that I made a mistake.   Anyway hopefully everyone is having a good week.

Thanks for the advice March 12, 2008

I want to thank everyone who gave me their opinion on the things I listed to get Sweet Pea.  As cute as the Littlest Pet Shop is I did worry about all the small stuff since Monkey still puts things in his mouth like his nightlight.  He unplugs it and then has figured out how to unscrew the light bulb and then puts one or the other in his mouth–what am I going to do with him!  So now I have to wait until he’s asleep before I can plug his nightlight in; seriously Sweet Pea was never like that.

Ok back to the toys issue.  The one thing I never thought of was American Girl dolls, I’ve heard of them but never thought to get her one so thanks Jess.  Also I was thinking of getting her a couple of Barbie dolls.  Alright last question–am I making this harder than what it should be?

What do y’all think of this March 11, 2008

**I know many of you had said that you can’t see the picture-sorry.  See if you can click on it and maybe it will take you to the website.  http://www.camillesboutiqueshop.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=63

Plush roller w/catI don’t remember when I first saw this but I think it’s really cool.  To look at more of these just google kreative kids plush backpacks and a whole variety will pop up.  Anyway it’s a plush rolling backpack w/a detachable cat and on the back of the cat is a zipper for the kids to store stuff in.  This also comes in as a regular backpack.  So my question is do you think she would like this and would it be useful (either in a backpack or a rolling backpack).  When I showed Sweet Pea she said she wanted to use it for school but I’m not sure.  Again I would appreciate some input–and thanks Burg for your comment.

What to get. March 10, 2008

In little over a month Sweet Pea is turning 5 and I still can’t believe it.  She has alredy decided on her birthday theme and for sure this year we are doing The Backyardigans.  Because wouldn’t you know that’s what she wanted to do last year and I couldn’t find anything but right after her birthday that stuff was popping out everywhere.  So we have that covered now it’s just telling everyone what to get her.  Sure there are clothes but every kids needs toys.  So here is the list she gave me but of course I had to give her a list of things because she couldn’t really tell me what she wanted.

The Littlest Pet Shop: This is one that she asked for.  So I’m wondering for those of you who have little girls do they really like this toy and is it worth buying.  I don’t really like the idea of a bunch of little things everywhere but if she really wants and she’ll like it then I can get over it.

Item 2 that I think she will like but she’s kind of so-so about it.  I really think she’ll like it once she gets it because it has princesses all over it and it’s purple.

If this helps she doesn’t watch Hannah Montana, so that knocks that out.  So please if you have any suggestions on what to get her I’m all ears.  Thanks for all your help.

A Little Bit of Snow March 8, 2008

Filed under: Just Another Day — Jesse @ 8:43 am

Yesterday was such a busy day for me and I wanted to make sure I posted my party post that I forgot to tell y’all what happened.  The kids and I wake up around 7 and to my wonderful surprise there were snow flurries coming down!  Now I know for those of you who live up north that’s a not a big deal but I on the other hand live in Texas (not far from Houston).  So you know that stuff like that doesn’t happen very often.  Anyway the kids and I ran downstairs to look out our windows in the veranda and it was absolutely beautiful (even if very little stuck to the ground).  I ran out and took a couple of pictures because well this should be documented.  I would post a pic but honestly I just don’t feel like this morning.  Anyway there was enough snow packed on our windshield that you could actually make a few snowballs.  I’m sure some of you northerners are laughing at me and that’s cool because I’m laughing at myself.  Oh and for the record I have seen real snow and I have played and shoveled it–which is no fun task.  Alright well I’m off to go read some new blogs–have a great weekend!

Hello is anyone out there? March 4, 2008

Filed under: Just Another Day — Jesse @ 11:34 pm

I know I don’t post everyday and there have been a few times when I’ve gone almost a whole week but where are you guys.  I guess I’m feeling left out because Burg was the only nice one to comment on here in the past couple of days.  Anyway I’m sure y’all are busy doing grown-up stuff.

As for me I’ve been doing grown-up stuff as well; you know take care of the kids and the never ending mounds of school work I can’t seem to dwindle down.  Oh and I hit up Target today for some Easter outfits for the kids.  Did y’all realize that Easter will be here in a little less then 2 weeks!?!  Surprisingly enough I was able to find an outfit for each my kiddos and let me tell you the selection for Monkey was slim pickings but I like what I bought him (he has a blazer and a clip-on tie).  Which started me thinking that I don’t know how to tie a tie so I guess it will be left up to David to help him out.

Oh and did you know that today 101 Dalmations came out along w/Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium?  Sweet Pea has already said that 101 Dalmations is the first thing she wants to watch tomorrow.  As for other I haven’t seen it but I can’t wait to sit down and watch it with her.  I don’t think Monkey will be that interested but who knows he could surprise me.  Alright well I hope y’all are doing well.
