Family Friday 3 May 11, 2007

This week has been really beautiful, a little hot but not to bad.  Since my mil likes to garden we all went outside to start planting flowers.  Sweet Pea of course loved this because well she like to play in dirt and thinks all the flowers her Mimi picks are beautiful.  As for me and my monkey well we just kind of played in the yard and I like  to chase him around and listen to him squeal.  I have to say that my little Pea has learned a lot from helping her Mimi which is good because maybe one day she can give me a few pointers since I don’t have a green thumb, or maybe it’s because I’ve never tried.  Anyways the weather is beautiful and what more fun is it than to plant pretty flowers or just play out in the yard.

Candy Land Anyone? May 4, 2007

For Sweet Pea’s birthday she got the game Candy Land and we finally opened it up to play.  You remember the game-it’s fun and easy game for kids to learn colors.  Alright well the three of us played while my monkey tried to eat the extra player in the box.  So at first I thought this should be pretty easy since she knows her colors-wrong.  She was really making it harder than what it needed to be-you know over analyzing.  It would be her turn and she would say “now let me see where I want to go.”  After a few turns she understood that she couldn’t go to just any purple square but the one that was next on the trail.  And yes she won the game-with a little help ;)  What can we say it was her first time playing and I didn’t think she should lose.  Overall we had a lot of fun playing and David got a real kick of me going back to the beginning not once but twice.

Ok so here is mine-Wednesday night we waited for David to get home and when he did we all piled on the bed to watch Shrek.  Chunky Monkey wasn’t very interested in the movie, instead he was climbing all over us and just laughing.  We let him climb all over us and get out some of that energy since it was almost his bedtime.  Once he fell asleep the three of us watched the rest of the movie and it was so much fun.  It was so cute watching Sweet Pea’s face while she was watching the movie.  Her whole face would light up and she would start laughing.  It was a lot of fun, and just nice to have all of us sit together.
