I’m sure as many of you know Heath Ledger was found dead in his apt. yesterday.  Seriously what is going with these people in Hollywood; last week it was Brad Renfro, and now this week Ledger.  It seems like everytime you turn on the t.v. they are talking about how screwed up many of the people in Hollywood are-like we didn’t already know that.  Someone is going to rehab or court and of course many are obsessed about these people every single move.

I mean do you ever wonder if many of these celebrities think they are immune and that nothing can happen to them even though many of them are suffering from drugs, or alcohol.  I’m sure these celebrities have to have some close friends and family to tell them that they are heading down a road of destruction.  As with the Heath Ledger thing I really hope it was accidental but sadly we’ll never know.  I really for sorry for his family and also his little girl that he left behind.  This may sound dumb but I think something (I don’t know what) should be done to reach these people and let them know that all the money, and fame you have does not make you invincible, you’re just like everyone else and what you’re doing is a waste of the talent you were given and all that it took to get you where you are.

Ok so here’s a question:  Do you think if you were rich and famous that you would fall into the traps of that scene?  Answer:  If it were to happen to me tomorrow, NO.  If it were to happen in my very early 20s possibly.  Also seeing how Hollywood is would you ever encourage your child to follow their dream and become an actor?  This is a toughy because I want to encourage my children in all that they do, so I guess I just have to pray that we’ll continue to have a close relationship and really show them the dangers of how others will take advantage of you.

Alright last bit–did any of you hear about a Pastor in Topeka, KS wanting to pickett Ledger’s funeral because he did Brokeback Mountain.  I pray that this is false and not true; but if it is true that I’m saddened and disgusted.  I for one am a Christian, I’m not perfect in fact very far from it and knowing someone who is supposed to be a leader of his church doing that just infuriates me.  I mean who do these people think they are-so what if he did that movie, does that give them the right to intrude on this family’s mourning-NO.  Also who are we to judge how other people choose to live their lives.  I for one have made many mistakes in my life but that doesn’t mean that I don’t deserve God’s love.  Ok I’m going to stop or else I could go on and I don’t want to bore any of you.  Anyway I hope y’all have a great day, and let me know what you think.

Late Breaking News January 4, 2008

Forget about the Iowa Caucus last night did y’all hear about Britney Spears—oh wait of course you did because that’s all anybody really cares about.  I’ll admit that I didn’t watch the debate and got a recap from my mil but everywhere I turn there’s coverage and how Spears finally had that mental breakdown unfortunately we all knew would come.  I can’t say that I’m surprised something like this finally happened and I can’t believe that out of the two K-Fed would end up looking like the more responsible parent.  With that being said I really hope that while she’s under observation they make her get the mental help that she seriously needs.

And in other news did you know that Victoria’s Secret will no longer be carrying Halo?  I know today’s post isn’t a deep thought revelation but it might make you ponder a few things–right?

Ok in all seriousness I feel like since Christmas I haven’t been able to get back into my usual routine; probably because David’s been home but I won’t completely blame him.  Anyway the scary part is that school starts for me next Wednesday so I better get my crap together because I want to stat my semester off right not crazed.

It’s Britney September 10, 2007

Well I’m not one to watch the VMA but I did last night because I wanted to see Britney Spears.  For the past couple of weeks there has been talk about her making a comeback, songs leaked, and of course her being seen around Vegas with Criss Angel.  Which by the way I thought he was supposed to be helping her with this and umm I didn’t see any magic tricks.  Anyway first let me say that after the way the tabloids have been hounding her for oh I don’t know forever I thought it pretty gutsy of her to go out on stage knowing what has been said.  And to be honest I was really hoping for this awesome performance but sadly her performance didn’t rock.  To me she looked really nervous (don’t blame her), and kind of like she was just going thru the motions, she also seemed to forget the words to her song.  I felt bad when they panned the audience because they had this look like I can’t believe she’s actually up there.  No it wasn’t great but I think she was almost regretting being there.  Oh but what really irked me is how I’ve read that she looked a little flabby-WHAT!  First off she looks a whole lot better than I do, and second she’s not fat.  Sure she wasn’t showing off a six-pack but damn give the girl a break she looked normal and no she didn’t have a huge gross belly hanging out.  *Sorry for that rant it just really bugged me.  All in all I really think her purpose for a comeback is to get people to back off of her and quit talking about her every little mistakes.  But I think the only way they will leave her alone is if she just goes off into seclusion and just focus on her and her kids, put her life back together and try not to let it all get to her.  Anyway if you watched it what do you think and if not go to mtv.com and they have all the performances posted on there.  Hope y’all have a great Monday.

Enough of Paris! June 7, 2007

“Hey, you guys!”

“The price is wrong bitch.”-Happy Gilmore

I was watching Access Hollywood yesterday and what do you think they were talking about-you guessed it Paris Hilton.  I’m not surprised at all since she’s now in jail but what shocked me was how they were talking about the media coverage from around the world-United Kingdom, Austrailia, Germany, Japan-you name it they’re talking about her.  Now seriously is that the most exciting thing going on the world is Paris going to jail.  Personally I’m glad she’s going, I’m sick and tired of seeing how if you’re filthy stinking rich or a celebrity somehow the law doesn’t apply to you.

Now listen I’m a huge fan of celebrity gossip, and yes I read the tabloids but I don’t think anything they do should occupy the world’s news while there are soo many more important things going on in the world.  You know how Angelina and Brad are raising their kids apart from each other-lol.  Oh and for the record I’m for Angelina I think she’s way prettier than Jennifer.

Anyway I just had to say something about it because well I think I’ve been quiet long enough.  Ok one last thing.  Look at what happened to Brittany.  Granted she asked for most of the attention and she made some mistakes, but seriosly enough was enough.  I actually feel sorry for her because no matter what she does she’s a terrible mom and I  think they took some stuff out of context.  I mean no wonder she ended up having to go to rehab.  I mean can you imagine someone watching your every single move as a first time mom.  I know I made some mistakes but I can’t imagine the world watching my every single freaking move.  Am I making any sense here?

Ok now I’m done sorry for the rant it was just bugging me I guess because I can’t stand her, and there are many more celebs worth talking about.

Speechless May 16, 2007

I was talking to my sister this morning and she told me about a disturbing story on the news from a week ago.  http://www.foxnews.com/wires/2007May11/0,4670,MutilatedInfant,00.html

At the time of the mutilation he was 5 1/2 weeks old, and had colic and the woman apparently snapped and cut off his genitals.  I just don’t understand how anyone could harm their child and do something so horrific.  And then I came across another story about a teen who burned a baby girl with a microwave http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=local&id=5309247

My heart goes out to all of the children in this world who have suffered.  I look at my babies and I can’t imagine do anything like that to them.

I know this post is sad but it just really bothers me when I hear stuff like this-this is also why I hate watching the news and usually don’t.

4 Yr. Old Getting Tackled April 25, 2007

Filed under: In the News — Jesse @ 11:23 am

Ok so I’m sure many of you have heard about the 4 yr. old who was tackled at college football game.  Apparently it was some kind of spring youth football game, so I’m guessing it was more like a scrimmage.   Anyways the little boy was walking on the sidelines when here comes the wide receiver trying to catch the pass, he didn’t see the little boy and slammed into him.  I think all the boy ended up having was about 30 stitches, but at least his neurological exams were normal.  Here’s the link for the story http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,268051,00.html

Ok so here’s my question what parent in their right mind would let there toddler just walk along the sidelines of a football game.  I mean come on now lets have some common sense here; how many times have you watched a game and seen the players, coaches, or cheerleaders plowed into my the players on the field.  I don’t care if they said it’s ok, the field is no place for a child to be running around.  Why-because of what happened to that little boy.  Now please don’t think I blame the player because I don’t, and I would have been peeved if someone blamed him for it.  I just think the child shouldn’t have been down there.  Ok off my soapbox-sorry.  Let me know what you think.
