A Fun Week

Last week was Spring Break and I had so much fun being home with my babies, especially Baby Girl; and David was off too! I’m sure many of you are just dying to know how I spent my week because you just know it was just all mad crazy fun Well most of the week was spent by us cleaning (oh yeah y’all are jealous), that’s right we were doing some major spring cleaning. But don’t worry there was lots of play time, I spent a lot of my time with Baby Girl since my older two are always with me and they spent all day every day outside. Ooo wait I did have some mad crazy fun Thursday was ladies night at one of my friends houses. It was b.y.o.b. and you can only imagine how fun and crazy a bunch of us ladies are when we are kid free and having a few drinks! And thanks to my sweet hubby he dropped me off and picked me up since you know it was St. Patty’s day and all the coppers were out that night. Love ya hon! Then to end our week we went to the beach built sand castles, Baby Girl ate some sand (yuck), and we ate way to much good food. I seriously think I gained 10lbs over this past weekend. And now I’m sad to say that I’m now back in the real world of getting up early and getting me and the kids ready for school…when does summer vacation start again?!

So yesterday was Sweet Pea’s field trip and we went to the ro-day-o (rodeo). We had so much fun doing camel rides, going to the butterfly exhibit, petting zoo, and of course we had to do at least one ride. The kids had a blast on the bus going there and back. And as much as I wanted to take a nap it was impossible from all the noise but that’s ok because just seen how much fun they had and the excitement on their face was awesome.

Today is one of those days when you just want to stay home and watch movies and basically just not get dressed. I wake up this morning and wouldn’t you know it’s rainy and muggy outside-blah. But me being the responsible mom and teacher I had to get up and get me and my kids ready for school. However, on the BRIGHT side tomorrow my Sweet Pea has a field trip and I’m going-yay! I’m excited but not nearly as much as DD1. Oh and how can I forget that next week is spring break (ahhh).

Hello again, I know it’s been forever since I’ve been on here but life has been chaotic (haha). But I will say that I’m back and even though I may not be on here everyday I will be on throughout the week. So for those of you who are just passing through welcome, and for those who are old friends that I have not talked to in forever please drop me a line. Since my last post in 2009 my life has changed so to help those catch up I’ll make a quick and easy list of my family.

And you all know me I go by the supreme title of Mamma! And also for new changes I’m no longer a sahm, I’m now a teacher’s assistant at a Christian private school, and I’m also the new children’s pastor (recently started). So as you can see a lot has changed all for the good even though I miss being home with my babies but sometimes things must change.

Today has been absolutely beautiful; it’s sunny and clear, no rain, and the weather is unbelievable. So you know I just had to take advantage of it so me and Monkey went to the park and had pizza for lunch. Hubby should be home soon and when he does we planned to take the kiddos and go walk to the park and let them run crazy so they’ll be chill by the time we come home.

As for my beef stew last night…it was delicious and there is plenty for me to have again tonight. I hope all of y’all are enjoying the day and will have a great weekend.

Remember when I said that I have went back to work…well what I forgot to mention was that I’m off this week, FALL BREAK–YEAH!!! So what have I been up to, well other than cleaning because I’ll admit my house is not how I like it to be (did I mention I probably have OCD). I also painted the door trim in Monkey’s room since the kiddos switched rooms a few weeks ago; Monkey and Baby will be sharing a room-should be interesting. Anyways…today not only have I done laundry and yes there are clothes not folded in the basket but sheets are on the bed. Today I also made yummy, delicious, mouth-watering beef stew, golden delicious, buttery cornbread, and for desert I made gooey chocolate brownies. Now doesn’t that sound great on a cold night, I’m getting hungry just thinking about but I can wait at least for a little while longer. Man I love cold weather.

Hello again! Ok well I said I would be coming back and here I am with an update on life here. First off Sweet Pea is in First grade and I can never get over the fact how fast she is growing up. Monkey is almost 4 and still a handful but hey he’s a boy. I’m not a sahm anymore and there are times when I would love to stay home but I miss working and well we can use a little extra income. And the most latest and greatest news is that we are expecting our third child near the end of January and we are having a girl!! I know this was all short and sweet but now that’s there’s an update I will start writing about all the little and BIG things going on in our world.

It has been a very long time since I have posted anything (little over a year). I’m not really sure why I stopped but I can assume that it had to do with time, you know family, life, the normal occurences of the everyday life. So maybe some are wondering why I’m all of a sudden blogging again and if not well then that’s ok but I’m going to tell you anyway. For the past few weeks I have had some comments and as you know your comments show up on email. I have to say that I was really surprised because I figured by now nobody would stumble upon my little blog in the mass universe of all blogs. So thank you to those who have recently commented because y’all are the ones who have resparked my interest. And yes I’ll admit that there were times I have thought about and just didn’t do anything about it. So please if you have enjoyed what you have read please feel free to drop by more often because I’m actually going to post and I would love to hear from all of you and if you have a blog let me know because I love reading about what’s going on with other mothers, and just people in general.

Need Some Help

For awhile now I’ve been meaning to post my question and I know y’all are the perfect people to answer my question. I need real recipes that aren’t to complicated for me and my family (since I’m not a great cook). Anyway we’re all getting pretty tired of anything that has the word helper in it. And by real recipes I mean recipes that use everyday things, you know not like in cookbooks where it seems like every recipe you need different ingredients that you’ll never use again. Am I making any sense? Also if you can recommend a good useful cookbook that would be great too.

Just Me and My Monkey

Now that Sweet Pea is away at school it’s just me and my little Monkey. I have to say that it’s been really nice to have some one-on-one time with him and getting, to see another side of him. Of course the first week she was at school it was pretty hard on him because he kept asking me where she was and a few mornings he cried when she got out of the car. However, overall he’s adjusting really well and I think he’s enjoying just the two of us, plus there’s no fighting over books, toys, and t.v. But the crazy thing is when she does come home those two make up for the whole day they lost and they drive me bonkers. It’s like sorry mom we haven’t seen each ALL DAY and we just have to scream and shout and not get on each others nerves but yours as well. And with that being said I enjoy watching the two of them play and I love hearing about her day. Now back to me and Monkey–we’ve gone shopping together and he’s been getting better and rarely shouts out “Mommy help me!” He loves to help me with me lunch and whatever else I’m doing. You know I’ve even caught him putting his plates in the dishwasher instead of the sink, oh and he also knows where his dirty clothes go. Did I mention that one day he is going to make some girl very happy and she will have me to thank. But the best part of our day is nap time (and not because he’s asleep) I love our snuggle time. He lay as close to me as he can and just fall asleep in my arms looking like an angel.
